Implementing PayPal Payments: A Practical Guide and Pain Points
In this video, I talk about the implementation of payment for my site, YouTool.app. We looked at what PayPal requires in their payment implementation, how I implemented it, and stored the information. We also discussed some of this solution's pain points and what I believe PayPal could do better. This is not a complete tutorial for all situations, but you should be able to implement a simple flow for direct payment.

    Great video, I would imagine a lot of viewers try to copy the steps as they watch your presentation, and then find out the connection to the winshare won't connect and may get a bit frustrated, but you did mention the firewall towards the end. It might be helpful to mention this right away to avoid this frustration of those who enabled ufw.

      Hi You are correct that some people find it obtuse, but it is also loved by many people who can compile their software without extra hassle. The main focus of these tools is to find solutions for your current hardware/software so you can compile the application. Without writing large configuration scripts or make files, you can determine that all dependencies are available on the current machine and enable the user to compile their software. Hard problems have complicated solutions, but these are simplified problems, in my opinion. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

      Hi That is a bit strange; the information should be there if you've copied a script from a previous install of the same system. It might be a YAML indentation issue or a password hash copy issue. Maybe they require even the root password now. There are small changes between versions, so other changes and parameters might be required. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

      Hi. That can be a bit confusing. How you open files varies depending on what system you run. Usually, opening files in the application is fine. So open VS Code before you open the file. This will always work. But if you want to assign a file type to an editor, you need to figure out how to do that on your system. I haven't used Windows for a year, so I might be wrong, but I remember using the shift key to get more options on the "Open with..." dialog. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

      Hi. I would never say that anything is complete regarding a wealth of knowledge. But there are so many flavors of Linux with different setups and configurations, so you will never create a full guide. But if you understand this series, you should be able to navigate any newer Linux distro. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

    • @DanielPersson
      @DanielPersson 14 дней назад

      Hi. I'm not sure what the question is. Do you mean what settings would be great for a PC with low specifications? Well, I think then you can't set video rendering using GPU for one thing, but other than that, if the program runs, it should record. You can set a static framerate that might help with some systems, but I've not tried it myself as I need higher specs to create my videos. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my videos. I have update on my issue. Only way to make custom iso of fedora because i am using it would be using mock and pungi and doing it same way fedora developers do when they're building testing images prior to release or set it up and use clonzilla to make recovery usb so i can recover it all. Mock and pungi seem to make system based on installation of fedora. I will play around with mock and pungi and see what happens. This seems viable because you don't need to make kickstart file.

  • @raughboy188

    No matter where i look it always truns out that if i want to make kickstart file i have to make by hand because nobody bothered to make simple tool to scan existing instalation of for me fedora and generate kickstart file based on that or some tool to make it easier as if nobody gives a damn about it. All i can do when i'm done is back up configuration files somwhere where i can get them if i have to reinstall fedora. if there is helpfull tool for kickstart files please tell me because i don't know where to look.

    It would be nice if this could get some people (at work) to finally move past Java 8. :) We started a project recently and I "forgot" to mention that I'm using Java 17. :) I agree with deprecating and removing "outdated" (or unsafe) implementations... but I wish the documentation on the replacements was better. I ran into a case on the above project where all the solutions on Stack Overflow (and everywhere else) use the now-removed configuration objects for ... whatever it was. Authentication, perhaps, with Spring Boot. The replacement is, I believe, more flexible, which is great! Unless you're trying to figure out how to use it. If you're not already familiar with how to use it and what you need to define, it's really hard to figure out from the documentation. At least what I could find. (I was eventually able to resolve my issues, but it took a few days of work)

    • @DanielPersson
      @DanielPersson 21 день назад

      Hi Aaron. That is annoying. I guess the problem with Unsafe methods is that they are too niche for them to document and something you need to look up if you need the change. And I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all solution for the problem, either. I'm glad you found a solution. Best regards Daniel

      @DanielPersson Месяц назад

      Hi Well, that depends, it works in a pinch. You get many ports and it does the job. The sound is not annoying. Never thought it was to loud and I sit in that room every day. The interface is jank and updates are hard to come by if you don't have a subscription which is pretty much impossible at this point. Another issue is the speed. I could do with more speed for my ceph cluster both when I send large data and when it wants to recover. So I will replace it at some point but it works for now. I hope this answers your questions. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

    @daniel persson , did you try to reproduce your podAntiAffinity problem with example from docs? They have exactly your scenario spelled out . I would love to bet $100 that feature from 5 years ago does not have a bug today.

    • @DanielPersson
      @DanielPersson 21 день назад

      Hi BTC I've not tried it, but the configuration I used was close enough to the example to say that it did not work. The solution was overkill for my use case, and I've removed the cluster. You can't have code that works for an example, not for a real use case, and something that is not dependable. If I give it a rule that I need 1 per host a.s.o, and it still creates multiple on the weakest hosts, making that host unresponsible, then the system is just not well designed. Random is not the solution here. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

    Ah, that uname "trick" is probably what I was missing a few years ago when I was trying to build an image for ARM and AMD. At first I was amazed at how easy it was, because it all seemed to "just work". I was either trying to package a Java or Ruby-on-Rails application. Like a fool, I thought it worked because they're not natively compiled languages. But then I "improved" something in the build script (I've forgotten now what I did), and suddenly it didn't work anymore (of course, because the interpreters --- JRE and Ruby runtime --- _are_ native code) and I couldn't figure out how to fix it, and I ended up abandoning it.

      Hi Samuel. Well the joining of the cluster is dependent on if your main machine can connect as root to the other host. If not it will not work. There are so many reasons this might be failing, so I can't troubleshoot it here, but I think if you start over, it might be something simple you've overlooked the first time. I hope this helps. I would love to see how the model responds to the same question, before and after fine tuning on the PDF document, especially a question related to the subject of the document.

    Could you please do a video using cloud-init on VMware?

      Hi Gabriela Sadly I don't have a VMware license, neither have I ever used it, or heard about cloud-init, so I think it would be more feasible to find someone else that have used it. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

    As no one seems to have explained how to pronounce “Apache”… it’s pronounced hard-“a patch ee”. So, ah-patchy! The e at the end is stated because it’s not an Anglicized name, but is the original name of a Native American population. For the Apache project, the name was settled on well before any of the awareness about such things became prominent. It was originally “a patchy” service, which (quickly) gave rise to the name.

    3 years later, doubt you will see this but just want to say you're extremely talented at this! I hope you have continued to do more tutorial / explanation videos. You keep things simple and well-paced. Cheers!

      Hi Jimmy I'm not sure. I have not used Bubblewrap for years, so try it. If you need more resources, the GitHub repository recommends a Google blog post explaining the steps individually. developer.chrome.com/docs/android/trusted-web-activity/quick-start/ I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my videos. Best regards Daniel

    If it wasn't for one program I NEED to use under Windows, I would use linux only. And yes, I know about WINE. It simple wil not work under WINE. Many others have try. Now it's the popup advertizing windows is forcing down our throats that is driving nuts.
